The Festival Choir of Madison presents Northern Lights, a concert of contemporary Norwegian, Baltic and American music. The distinctive works in the 1st concert are Ola Gjeilo’s “Northern Lights” and “Dark Night of the Soul”; Trond Kverno’s “Ave Maris Stella,” Ēriks Ešenvalds’ own “Northern Lights” and Douglas Hill’s “Homage to Thoreau" (narration featuring Jim Fleming of Wisconsin Public Radio).
